 A.  Christian Preachers:  Televangelist  Joel and Victoria Osteen adverse Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Continental Airlines

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1710507/posts

The Federal Aviation Administration has fined Victoria Osteen, wife of Lakewood pastor Joel Osteen, $3,000 after determining she had interfered with a Continental Airlines crew member aboard a flight late last year.   And this week, a flight attendant filed suit claiming she was assaulted by Victoria Osteen during that flight to Vail, Colo., for the Christmas holidays.   Osteen has paid the penalty, which is not an admission of guilt.   On the civil matter, Rusty Hardin, Osteen's attorney, called the lawsuit a "ridiculous" attempt to seek money from Osteen, whose husband is a best-selling author as well as the pastor of the largest church in Houston.

1.   The Stanleys’ Divorce

Charles Stanley and his wife, Anna, have divorced. According to an official of First Baptist Church, Atlanta, Stanley will remain as senior pastor.   Stanley, 67, told the congregation in a service May 21. Following his report, Gerald Spicer, church administrator, told the congregation Stanley would remain as senior pastor. The congregation rose in applause. *** According to the May 23 edition of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Anna Stanley filed a petition as "A.J. Stanley" requesting a divorce from "C.F. Stanley" on Feb. 16 charging their marriage of 44 years was "irretrievably broken." An Atlanta judge signed the final decree May 11 following the execution of a property agreement by the Stanleys April 5. ***  The Stanley's troubled marriage was made public in the 1990s and caused some struggles in the church because of an unwritten policy that First Baptist not allow divorced men to serve as ministers or deacons.   Stanley told the congregation in 1995, "If my wife divorces me, I would resign immediately."

 2.       Peacemakers’ Reproach:

It is with great sadness and shame on Christ's name that I heard Dr. Charles Stanley is now divorced after seven years of separation from his wife….  It appears to me the following, after my calls.   The Elders of First Baptist Church of Atlanta and the Directors of the In Touch ministry failed to honor God's Word for over seven years that an Elder/Pastor/Teacher, and his wife-if married, should be above reproach, otherwise should be removed from the ministry until such time they are restored....  The Elders and congregation failed a Church Discipline process (Matthew 18) to help restore one or both to Biblical fidelity and or declared one or both to be treated as a non-believer, and report such to the Christian Community. …  They all need our prayers and encouragement to return to God's ways…. in the mean time, I must encourage all to having nothing to do with either of these ministries until there is repentance, confession and fidelity to all of God's Word….

C.  Christian Preachers:  Televangelist Juanita Bynum Assaulted by Husband, Thomas Weeks

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,294167,00.html

Juanita Bynum, a televangelist who has won a national following with sermons about women's empowerment, was badly bruised in a fight with her estranged husband as they met in an attempt to reconcile, police said.   No charges were filed in connection with the confrontation between Bynum and preacher Thomas W. Weeks III, founder of Global Destiny churches, police said Thursday.

D.  Motivational Speakers:  Tony Robbins v.  Stephen Pierce

 http://www.tmz.com/2008/04/24/tony-robbins-unleashes-the-power-of-lawsuit/

Tony Robbins claims a competing motivational speaker has stolen his schtick, so he's suing the dude.  In the lawsuit, "Banana Hands" Robbins claims the wife of Stephen Pierce -- the other motivational dude -- used a small camera to record almost 50 minutes of a speech Stephen gave at one of Robbins' seminars. Pierce then posted the video on his website, and encouraged his readers to skip Robbins' $8,000 seminar and buy his video instead.

E.  Internet Marketers and Social Communities of “Friends”:  Facebook (Zuckerberg) adverse UConnect  (Winklevoss/ Narendra)

http://www.techcrunch.com/2008/04/07/facebook-to-settle-with-connectu/

A lawsuit before the US Federal Court alleged that Facebook CEO and Founder Mark Zuckerberg stole the original code for Facebook. Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss, and Divya Narendra (ConnectU) accused Zuckerberg of stealing the source code, design, and business plan for Facebook in 2003 when he worked in the Harvard dorms as a programmer for their own tertiary education focused social-networking site HarvardConnect.com, now known as ConnectU.

F.  Jewish Rabbis:  Aaron Teitelbaum v. Estate of Moses Teitelbaum and his brother,  Zalmen Teitelbaum (Satmar Rabbis)

 http://www.nytimes.com/2006/07/12/nyregion/12ruling.html

Five years after a family feud between two Hasidic rabbis erupted into a wave of litigation, a New York State appellate court ruled yesterday that the civil judicial system cannot interfere with religious organizations’ administrative matters, affirming a lower court decision.   ….   The ruling benefits Zalmen Teitelbaum, the younger of two rival brothers who have claimed succession to their father’s role as grand rabbi of the Satmar sect of 100,000 Hasidic Jews around the world. … The religious role implicitly comes with secular authority over hundreds of millions of dollars of assets that are owned by the group…. In addition to violence and ill will, the split between the two brothers generated competing board elections — the issue at the heart of the lawsuit — as Aaron Teitelbaum and his supporters attempted to gain control over authority and assets through the civil court system

 G.  Muslim Leaders:  Muslim Leader Disappointed by Imams' Lawsuit

1.  Council on American-Islamic Relations vs. US Airways

The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which is representing the imams, held a news conference in Washington, D.C., Tuesday to announce the filing of a discrimination lawsuit against US Airways by the six Islamic religious leaders. The imams were removed from a flight in Minneapolis last November. They say their removal from the flight was based on racism and religious intolerance.   "The Plaintiffs, well-respected, religious leaders in their community, felt degraded, humiliated and dejected as they were led before airport patrons and passengers who looked at them as if they were criminals," the lawsuit contends.

2.  Islamic Leader believes the lawsuit is a bad idea.  (Islamic Leader) Jasser said most Muslims don't believe in stirring up controversy. He believes the lawsuit is a bad idea. "It's our belief that the fallout and the public response to this type of litigation in response to a private airline is going to be wrong for American Muslims, wrong for American security and wrong for American freedom."
